New Zealand Bishop warns priests not to import practices from the 1962 Mass into the Novus Ordo. Bishop Stephen Lowe of Auckland, New Zealand, has rediscovered the liturgical rubrics. In a September 11 letter, he asked priests to review how they actually celebrate the Eucharist in light of the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM). Because of this undeniable history, the traditional Latin Mass is unequivocally Catholic.
